Dr. Al Bahrani has obtained his American Board of Anesthesiology after a residency program at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, USA. Following this, he did a cardiothoracic Anesthesia fellowship at Duke University followed by a Critical Care fellowship in the same University for which he obtained his American Board Anesthesiology - Critical Care Medicine in 2002 and was recertified in both in 2012.
Currently he is a Senior Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist and Intensivist and Assistant Director General, Royal Hospital in Muscat, Oman. He is also the president of Oman Society of Anesthesia and Critical Care and also chairs the committee for the improvement of anesthesia and critical services in Oman.
Dr. Al Bahrani has published several articles related to cardiac anesthesia as well as book chapters on nutrition in critical care and difficult airway management. He has also an interest in sepsis and blood disorders in critical care.
