Halima M. Salisu KABARA is a
Fellow of West Africa College of Nursing,
Vice- Chairman, Northern Zone, West Africa College of Nursing, Practice Development Nurse, Life Support Training Centre, Anaesthesiology/ICU Department. AKTH, Kano Nigeria. She is also Head of Section (Coordinator) at the Nursing Services Department, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, in Kano, Nigeria.
Halima is currently Chairwoman of the National Association of Nurse Intensivists of Nigeria (NANIN) and Chairwoman of the World Sepsis Day (WSD) Committee, A. K. T. H. Branch. Halima als acts as a representative of Nigeria for the GSA/Surviving Sepsis Campaign and WSD Expert Supporter, an International Associate member of Society for Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), and a member of World Federation of Critical Care Nursing (WFCCN).
Halima is the Chairman, WSD Kano State Chapter, and single-handedly initiated the Surviving Sepsis Campaign in the State, and in Nigeria, by creating awareness to this Laudable Initiative and Sensitizing HealthCare Professionals in her Hospital, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital as well as in the four Major Hospitals in the State, the Kano State Ministry of Health and Nigeria as a whole from 2012 to Date.
