Dr. Harvey Lander is currently Director of Between the Flags, Sepsis and Medication Safety at the Clinical Excellence Commission, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. In this role he is responsible for supporting clinicians and health services to improve the quality and safety of patient care across approximately 200 hospitals and health facilities. His previous positions as Director of Medical Services in acute hospitals in Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle required him to operationally lead medical services, clinical governance and patient safety. He has had senior medical management appointments at both individual hospital and District level, in Tertiary, Metropolitan and regional hospitals across different states, including New South Wales and Victoria. He has previously been an active hospital surveyor for the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards, served on a Board Subcommittee of a Victorian Health Service as well as a candidate representative on the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators’ (RACMA) Council.
