Necmettin Unal

Necmettin Unal is Professor of Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Ankara University Medical Faculty and training coordinator for Intensive Care supraspeciality education program in Ankara Medical Faculty. Some of duties of him include past president of Turkish Society of Intensive Care (TSIC), ambassador of GSA, coordinator for some international studies and National coordinator of CoBaTrICE (Competency based training in intensive care). He is coordinating world sepsis day activities in Turkey with collaboration of TSIC, GSA and MoH. 

Dr. Ünal has a particularly strong experience in intensive care medicine, with an emphasis on the mechanical ventilation and sepsis. His expertise also covers anesthesia for critically ill, oncological, pediatric, obstetric and gynological patients.

Dr. Ünal graduated from İstanbul Medical Faculty in 1984 He completed Anesthesiology and Reanimation (Intensive Care) residency at Ankara University. In addition, he completed his Intensive Care training at the same institution together with Department of Surgical Intensive Care of Rotterdam University.
