Dr. Kristina E. Rudd, MD, MPH, is a sepsis epidemiologist and pulmonary and critical care physician at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, USA. Her research focus is global sepsis epidemiology, with expertise in clinical and administrative methods to identify sepsis patients.
She collaborates with colleagues from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation to help lead a major study of the global burden of sepsis. An additional area of research focus is the identification, management, and outcomes of patients with sepsis and other critical illnesses in low resource settings. She has collaborated on research in Uganda, Rwanda, and Thailand.
