Marianne Haverkamp

Marianne is a sepsis survivor and passionate advocate for sepsis awareness and patient engagement. Originally from the Netherlands and now based in Spain, she brings a powerful personal perspective to her work following her own experience with sepsis.
Marianne is dedicated to raising awareness of the condition and improving outcomes for patients and families by sharing her story at international events and forums.
She currently serves as Chair of the ESA Patient and Family Support Working Group and as Co-Chair of the Global Sepsis Alliance’s Global Sepsis Survivor and Family Committee, where she helps amplify the voices of survivors and promotes patient-centered approaches to sepsis care worldwide.
