Tallat Mahmood

Tallat is a medical oncologist and hematologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience in cancer care. She currently serves as Medical Director within the Roswell Park Care Network at Ellis Medicine, where she leads efforts to expand access to high-quality oncology services and integrate research and community-based care.  

Tallat’s clinical interests include lung and gastrointestinal cancers, as well as quality improvement, survivorship, and the integration of complementary therapies to enhance patient care. She is driven by a strong commitment to advancing research and improving the overall cancer care journey for patients.  

She earned her medical degree from Aga Khan University, followed by a residency in internal medicine at West Virginia University and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Tulane University. She is board-certified in hematology, oncology, and internal medicine, and is an active member of professional organizations, including ASCO, ASH, and ACP.
