Naomi Spotswood

Naomi is a Neonatologist and clinician researcher based at Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania, Australia. She is currently completing a PhD through the Burnet Institute, focused on understanding and improving the diagnostic process for neonatal sepsis. Naomi is strongly committed to improving neonatal care and health equity through clinical practice improvement.
She is part of a variety of quality improvement initiatives for newborns and their families in her local networks and worldwide. Naomi is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Network’s (ANZNN) Council and enjoys regularly facilitating ANZNN’s Sepsis Prevention and Antimicrobial Use workshops.
She contributed to the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care’s Sepsis Clinical Care Standard and was an oversight group member for Australia’s National Sepsis Program Extension.
