Deborah Tong

Deborah is an infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist with postgraduate qualifications in global health policy.

She is currently the technical officer for antimicrobial stewardship in the AMR Department, Health Systems, Access and Data Division at WHO Headquarters. She has over 14 years’ experience in designing, implementing and evaluating antimicrobial stewardship programmes at the local, national, regional and global levels.

Deborah is interested in developing data-driven and context-specific antimicrobial stewardship policies and programmes to improve health equity in resource-limited settings.
