Rasha Ashour

Rasha is a Senior Attending Physician, General Academic Pediatrics, Sidra medicine & Assistant professor in clinical pediatrics at both Weill Cornell Medical College –Qatar & Faculty of Medicine Qatar University. She is the Lead for the Sidra Sepsis Program, the Pediatric Lead for the Qatar National Pediatric Sepsis Program, and a founding member of the Eastern Mediterranean Global Sepsis Alliance Steering Committee.

Rasha holds several clinical responsibilities including many academic and administrative positions, Dr. Ashour leads multiple Sepsis quality improvement projects and programs, spread the culture of “Think Sepsis” in Qatar, and has pioneered the development, and implementation of the Pediatric Sepsis Program in Hamad Medical Corporation and subsequently in Sidra Medicine. Dr. Ashour has authored many pediatric guidelines and has co-authored the Qatar National Acute Sepsis Management Guideline published in 2019. Rasha has received multiple awards for her passion, dedication, and major contributions to the fight against sepsis locally and internationally including the 2019 GSA Award. And HMC Education Award from Stars of Excellence for National patient safety collaborative pediatric sepsis & Stars of Excellence for a pediatric pain awareness program.
